Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
I've been using my Yoga 3 Pro charger on the Yoga 900 so you might find this previous forum discussion of interest.....

Thanks for the additional details Majestic. There was a lot of data in that thread and one other user/owner who was very close to the question I asked. However, I still need to know which pin in the Lenovo charging cable is 20 VDC+ and which is 20 VDC-. That will enable me to make the proper connections between my PowerAdd Pilot Pro and my Yoga 900.
Does anyone else have the pin to pin wiring specifications for the Yoga 900 or Yoga 3 Pro charging cables?

Page #21 of the Yoga 900's Hardware Maintenance Manual shows a very basic pinout of the cable and the +20v, but not the -20v. The diagram also seems sligthtly off in the pin position so I would double check with a voltmeter.
Here is a link to that manual.....

YOU DA MAN! The photo on page 21 is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I mistakenly said -20 VDC when I should have said ground. With the barrel connector output from the Power Add Pilot Pro, the center conductor is +20VDC and the outside of the barrel is ground. This gives me the info I need to properly wire a spare Yoga 900 power cord to the output connector on my power supply. Of course I'll double check everything with my mulit-meter. As you mentioned, and to be doubly sure, I can also use my meter to measure the output voltages on the charging cable with the AC adapter plugged in.

You are very welcome !
Best of luck on your project !

Is there a similar manual available for the Yoga 700-11 ?
The link below is for the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the Yoga 700 - 11ISK model.....

Is there an easy way to use the AC connector of a Thinkpad? I have a few of them. They are also 20V and 3.25A but of course don't have the new USB like socket. Is there a way to find and avoid building an adaptor? (I don't even know how to find this USB typee of socket)

Probably the simplest way would be to visit eBay and purchase a new cable and then spliced that into your old adapter / charger cord so you have the correct end.
Here is an example...
