I inadvertently touched the power plug to the USB when searching for c port in the dark. Nothing was forced. Now PC is dead. Did i fry something? Recourse? Yoga is 2.5 years old and worked very well till now. Suggestions?

To answer the title, USB type C do not support power delivery.
Type-C port supports (page8):
• USB 3.0
• Native display port 1.2 video output
• VGA/HDMI output using Type-C VGA/HDMI adapter
We are not so sure that what you did cause this but you can try the guide here (Power system Checkout -page 21) for power issue. Others would also try shutting down the machine and unplugging the battery to press the power button down for 12 seconds to drain flea power.
Try checking the ac charger first if it is still working. Physically inspect the power port or if there is any distinct burnt smell. Try if the machine will turn on using the novo button (item 3 page 11). Plugging the charger should also show any battery led indicators too.
You may need extra tools and skill for disassembly so you can just do what is accessible for you and perhaps consider having it checked it with your local service center.
