My daughter just recieved the Yoga 900 for Christmas - we too are not getting any sound to come out. Worked for a bit in the beginning and now nothing. Sound reader is showing moving bars, but nothing coming out of the speakers - - or headphones. At this point I wish we had gone with the Apple Mac Book, but daughter really liked the touchscreen. This is my first experiece with a Lenova product - seemed great in the store. It is extremely disappointing that the actual user experience is so poor as Lenova seemed so much better than Apple.

Yoga 900 same issue. Last week, when I tried to use Cortana, no sound issue occured. I contacted to Microsoft and the teachnitian reinstall drivers and fixed it withn 30min.
Today, after Window 10 updated, suddenly no sound again. I didn't do anything. A MS technitian failed to fix it. She told me that I need compatible driver to WIndow 10. I tried all that Ashwin told but they all didn't work. I feel this problem will not be solved until whether sound card driver updated or Win 10 updated again. Do you have any idea, the sound card will be updated?

I've just fixed this issue in my yoga 900. I went to Drive d: where Lenove saved all drivers and installed audio driver. D-->Driver--> audio--> setup.exe (you can see it after scroll down). Usually sound issue is hardware (bad sound card / connecting) or software (sound card drive) issue. The driver in lenovo webpage didn'tt work. I downloaded it and installed it, it didn' work at all. The driver in my yoga 900 hard drive D worked. After I installed it, I can see "Dolby audio" icon on the desktop page and sound is back to normal. I found it because I realized the Dolby icon on my desktop page is disappeared when sound was gone. I followed one person's direction to set up Dolby from lenovo community. If you cannot see any "dolby audio" icon, try install audio driver in your hard drive D. I hope this way also works for yours.
PS: I restted all my laptop before I performed that process but I am not sure it resetting is necessary process here. I reste my laptop because I accidently let a scammer, disguising Microsoft Severive, remote my laptop. The desrie to fix that sound issue led me to call a wrong number. ;; anyway, I am not sure the reset is coherent to solve this issue but I explain my all process and status.
