Yoga 900 backlit keyboard

Just curious to know (if anyone has checked this), how much battery is consumed when having the keyboard backlit vs. having the backlight turned off. Does it cut down the total usage time per charge by just a few minutes?

Re: Yoga 900 backlit keyboard

Hi there, Tuhin            -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today

The backlit keyboard is a very small factor in battery life. The backlight doesn't affect battery life as much as other factors, like screen brightness and other apps you're running. Also, You can make some changes in System Preferences > Keyboard.

Update us how it goes.

Re: Yoga 900 backlit keyboard

guys, the issue isn't battery.  The issue is usability.  Say, I'm watching netflix at night laying in bed with my lights off.  Now I have to manually turn off the backlight.  And then I want to fast forward, or select a different show or search for something else.  I can't see my keyboard in the dark.  Now I have to turn on the backlight again. That's an aweful user interface.

Re: Yoga 900 backlit keyboard

I have three settings on my 910, off, low and high.  The low doesn't distract me in a dark room and I can still see the keys.
