Yoga 900 - display driver glitch

I picked up my Yoga 900 three days ago I am very pleased so far... I have display driver glitch....

 

Every few hours the my screen flickers goes black and a message comes up and says:

 

"Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered"

Display driver intel HD Graphics Drivers for Windows 8(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered

Seems odd that the informational message would say "Windows 8".

Can you confirm that you're running this version: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-900-13isk/downloads/DS105078 ?

I am having the exact same error every few hours and there are no "newer" updated drivers on the Lenovo site (I've loaded the latest).

Did you use the Lenovo update app? I have had no issues since letting the app do all of the updates. At first, I had it happen to me once (BSOD). Hasn't happened since. And BTW' if you're having the very annoying problem of your screen brightness dancing around; you'll need to turn off the adaptive display in both the power themes and within the Intel Display control panel. Both of those settings turned off, fixed that display issue for me.

had similar issues ,so you are nto alone. Is that the only issue you have with the screen? Clearly, you must try to update all the drivers. Try running the Lenovo Companion first.

This did not work for me. The companion shows that no new updates are available.

I have the same problem...I am running the current Intel Graphic Driver 10.18.15.4248 released on 10/10/2015

 

Why am I getting a "driver error for Windows 8" when I am running Windows 10?????? I am planning on taking it back to Best Buy maybe they can help.

I purchased this laptop on 11-14-15 and experienced the graphics driver error. I updated all drivers with the lenovo companion, but the problem persisted. This morning I ran the hardware scan from the lenovo solution center and the

Mathematical Test under the Video Card category failed. I downloaded the driver suggested by the moderator and reran the hardware scan and that same test passed. When I installed the driver a message told me it was an older driver than what was currently installed, but I figured what the heck--give it a try. Hopefully this solves the problem.

 

Update:

I've been using my laptop throughout the day and I've had no problems. I think the above procedure solved the issue. I will update again if the problem reappears.

Yeah this solution doesn't work. I still have a couple of days to return this laptop. If lenovo can't figure out how to update their drivers then this laptop is a waste of money. Fix the problem guys. Don't even get me started on the touchpad gestures not working.
