Hi
When a second user is logged on to my yoga 900 the cpu goes from 2-3% to about 30% and stays there. The fan spins up and makes more noise than acceptable.
After disabling the service yoga mode control it does not happen anymore but it's a pity to have to do without it. I have everything updated (windows 10 and bios) including the latest version of yoga mode control I can find: version 1.0.0.9
Is there a fix to this?

Hi there, Erikfaug -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
Your machine is newly purchased? You can expect higher fan activity during the first few days of a new Yoga 900. During that time, Windows will be downloading updates, and indexing the SSD data. Things should then quieten down.
Update us how it goes.

Hi Erikfaug,
With multiple users logged into the machine the Yoga Mode Control service has to work harder to change the modes. The only way to help this is to make sure the first user logs out before the second logs in.
know thats not much help but if you try it oull see an improvement.

YMC.exe behaves the same on ideapad flex4, a rundll.exe continuously runs at 20-25% power for each user who is logged in and only is resolved by manually killing the process through the task manager. this is a fatal flaw. I will be returning this laptop shortly to Costco unless there is a pending update. I've had this laptop for 2 months and have finally traced this down via windows process explorer. When will an update be available to this software?

They're still making nice new yogas too, like the new 910, I hope for everybody's sake Lenovo takes care of this bad driver.
Until I hear about this being fixed I won't recommend these to anyone.
