Yoga 900 laptop shuts down abruptly while being in use. This has been happening since last couple weeks The laptop was purchased in 2016 summer. Installed anti virus and checked for virus. Nothing turned up. Installed all the latest Windows 10 updates. Nothing is helping out so far. What's the best way to resolve the issue? Is anyone else having similar problems?

Greetings from Lenovo
As for the mentioned issue, does the system overheats and shuts down? Boot the system into safe mode and keep the machine for observation.

Thanks for the quick response, Ashwin_Lenovo. I do not believe, it is overheating as it shuts down in a minute after starting it some times. How do I know, for sure that system overheats? Do you believe the fan is shot? I will try to get in safe mode, if it allows. Now, it 's almost shutting down immediately. I will keep trying to see, if we can get to safe mode and see the event logs now. Appreciate any suggestions or recommendations at this time.

No, the chasis is not hot. Even after shutting it down completely for a day, not able to bring up the laptop. Keep shutting down. The laptop is not usable for the last couple weeks. Looking for options to resolve the issue. Not able to figure out, if this is a software issue or hardware issue at this time.

Can you boot into BIOS or Recovery module via NOVO button or boot to a USB drive?

After few tries, able to start in safe mode without networking and saw the event viewer message and there are lot event errors and the one that seems to be related to this behaviour is "Kernel Power 41 Critical Error on Windows 10".
Found lot of posts on this and the one that seems to be simple is:
Let you know, if this fixes the issue. Thanks to all for your suggestions and recocmendations.
