I have a Yoga 900 and I just got a Dell S2718D external monitor. The monitor has USB C and HDMI video ins, and I can connect from the USB C port on the Yoga with an HDMI adapter, but the monitor isn't detected when going straight to USB C. I'm at my wit's end on this one, I can't find a solution. Please help!

Welcome to the Community,
Just to clarify, your monitor has 2 ports, a USB C and HDMI port, USB-C (laptop) to HDMI port (Monitor) connection works, but USB C to USB C didn't, is that correct?
Additional info from the specification shows that Yoga 900 has
"optional HDMI port (via USB 3.0 Type-C to HDMI adapter, sold separately)"

That is correct, the monitor has two ports - HDMI and USB C - and I can connect from the Yoga's USB C to the monitor's HDMI with an adapter. I cannot connect directly from USB C to USB C.

Also experiencing the same issue. Just purchased the monitor, and ran the Dell driver I found online. Still does not work. Would be nice if Lenovo could resolve this issue so you could run just the one USB C to USB C connection.

Hi, I have the same problem. Trying to connect a Dell P2419HC monitor and a Yoga 900 with a usb c to hdmi adapter. I also have a Yoga 920 and it works fine with the same adapter.
