Guru with a problem.
Recently, my 910 has started having an issue with flickering black lines that dance up and down the display. The lines are horizontal and are reminiscent of watching analog television with someone flipping a light switch on and off in another room. Hope that describes it. For a while, shutting down the computer, opening the display to tablet, then bending it back to laptop would resolve the issue. Now, it's pretty constant. Battery or AC. On occasion, the display will distort as in the attached pics
Yes, have all the latest drivers. This really looks like a loose connector, to me. Have not broken open the case and do not plan to so long as it's still under warranty.
In the MS Word photo, below, you can see two of the flickering lines toward the bottom of the screen. (ignore the reflection of a window in the "Paragraph" box)
Also ignore the reflection of a window in the upper left of the desktop distortion photo and the round ceiling light reflections on the right hand side.
When connected (Via USB-C to HDMI dongle) to an external display, the issue doesn't appear on the external display.
Also, moving the lid, typing on the computer or any other kind of motion doesn't affect the dancing lines. They're pretty much constant.

Somewhat of an update..
The issue persists, even if I use the OneKey button to boot to BIOS. Even the OneKey menu displays the flickering black lines.
Attempted to do the routine for static discharge: no change.
Removed and reinstalled the Intel Display Adapter: no change
I have discovered that, when the big distortion occurs (see photos above) it will sometimes rectify within a minute or two, but the black lines continue at all times. The distortion episodes and the complete blacking out of the display are unpredictable events.
Also interesting, the issue is unaffected by.. anything. I can flip the screen into tablet and back, plug and unplug peripherals.. the rate of the blinking black lines remains constant. AC or battery, restarts, Safe Mode, anything.
The issue does NOT occur on an external monitor. While the 910's screen is having fits, the attached HDTV looks perfectly normal.

It very much sounds like it will need to be repaired.
As you mentioned, the issues still persists in the BIOS and recovery menu, this will indicate a hardware fault, so I would indeed recommend that you had it sent for repair before the issue would become worse.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
