Yoga 910 13IKB SSD Upgrade

Wondering if an Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 2TB PCI can be installed to replace 512GB as I do lots of Photgraphy work and prefer to have my photos on SSD?

Re: Yoga 910 13IKB SSD Upgrade

Hi Stillshooter! Welcome to our forums community. We can't guarantee the 2 TB PCIE m.2 SSD will work because base on the hardware manual: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/yoga910-13ikb_13ikbglass_hmm_201609.pdf, page 59, the tested part is up to 1 GB and you can find the recommended part number from the link as well.
Regards

It should work in my opinion, m.2 PCIE is a standard, and it should not be any difference what the size is.
Myself I have yoga 730 13, just installed Corsair MP510 1TB - no issues.

Re: Yoga 910 13IKB SSD Upgrade

Well, installed the 2 TB card and unit seemed to work, but, when I shut it down and tried to restart without the charger being plugged in nothing happened.  By that I mean it was as if I'd not pushed the on button.  Also, the Lenovo USB-C HUB C110 didn't function at all.  Really sorry it didn't work and returned it.  By the way, did notice the Lenovo 512 GB M2 card had some traces not on the Intel card.  Perhaps these missing traces was the reason it wouldn't support some functions.  See jpg file provided.

Re: Yoga 910 13IKB SSD Upgrade

Glad it worked for you, think there was an incompatibility between teh Intel card I purchased and the Yoga 910.  Back to the original installed 512 GB and a small external 2 TB spinner for my travels.
