Re: Yoga 910 Disconnects routers internet connection

2017-05-04, 7:55 AM

Now after i have only used 5Ghz, there has been no problems. Yoga is now only device that is using 5Ghz and others are using 2.4 Ghz. I havent used 2.4Ghz with Yoga after i switched to 5Ghz, but i think it's working also with it now.

After i installed Qualcom Atheros wlan installer manually, without using Lenovo application, there has been no problems with CPU usage. I didn't uninstall it anymore and everything is working well.

Re: Yoga 910 Disconnects routers internet connection

Update: I grew tired of trying to troubleshoot myself, so I called Lenovo, and took it to Microcenter, who kept it a week and was never able to duplicate the problem until the very end. They installed a new Intel wireless card, at Lenovo's direction and no charge to me, and I haven't had any problems on either band on my home network. It is difficult to diagnose, but the Atheros card was bad on my machine. My 910 is only 2 months old, so if you can walk into an authorized repair center, I would do that before warranty period is over. My new card is the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC 3168, and performs flawlessly. I hope this helps someone!

Installed V12 driver over the weekend.  So far, so good.

Re: Yoga 910 Disconnects routers internet connection

I have the same problem ever since I got this Lenovo yoga 910. I have a Tp-link router which has been working flawlessly with all my other devices till date. Only when I connect my yoga 910, within few mins, the whole router is jammed and restarting the router is the only solution to fix it.

I am really pissed off with this laptop, after paying a fortune. Till date there has been no single solution found on internet. I tried updating every possible driver and network settings on the laptop. I believe this  Qualcomm wifi adaptor ( Atheros QCA61x4a) is a piece of hardware which lenovo is shipping  with this laptop and fooling the buyers.

Same problem - but much worse for me. None of the above solutions worked - tried them all. See this post

Hello,
could you please tell me where you found the "Qualcom Atheros wlan installer"?
And can you please describe how you installed manually?
Thank you in advance.

One more Question:
Did the only 5Ghz for Yoga 910 solve the "Yoga 910 Disconnects routers internet connection"
OR
actually the "Qualcom Atheros wlan installer manually"
Thank you again
