The laptop has been running well for many months. While using it today just looking at e-mail, the screen developed a very high frequency flicker. Restarting has no effect and the flickering is present during the Lenovo startup screen, so this is not a driver issue. Everything is up to date and I haven't installed any software or drivers for about a month. Definitely seems like a hardware issue. What do I do now?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try to download the Video and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page.
Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
But this could potentially be the connection cable for the screen as well.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Well I ended up actually setting up a repair order for this and shortly after I noticed the flickering was slowly diminishing. After about an hour it seems to have cured itself completely and hasn't done it since. I'm still concerned what this could be and if it will happen again. If it helps, it seemed like there was a very slight burn-in image on the screen when it started happening. The burn-in went away after about 5 minutes, but the flickering continued for about an hour. Any thoughts?

I purchased a lenovo 910 13kb yesterday. I would first like to say its the best screen for reading text I have ever seen. I had purchased the starwars edition the day before and this screen is an update even though the I miss the beautiful glass top.
OK here is the problem I get tons of screen flicker. I have read every post on this forum and tried all the solutions none have worked.
Attached are photos to illustrate the screen flicker. I don't want to take it back but I only have 14 days in my exchange window so please respond asap.
