Yoga 910 - Unable to Connect to WIFI (WEP)

I got a new Yoga 910 from Best Buy. Out of the box it is unable to connec to my WIFI. My WIFI is a Verizon Fios, and WEP encrypted. All my othe devices connect fine, including this Flex 2-14 laptop, my iPad, My Phone ... all of them connect. Except the brand new one.

 

I uninstalled the drivers, and installed again, disabled and enabled, tried all. But it still does not connect to my WIFI. But it does connect to other Open WIFI connections, I am able to connect in McDonalds, Starbucks and Office as well. Only the one at home does not connect.

 

Any ideas?

Try to use public DNS:

I also noticed that the WiFi reception on Y900 was a bit below my expectations and the one of my phone or other Ultrabook, but still decent.

 

Also,

 

Go to Control Panel

Click on Device Manager

Under Network Adapter, right click on the wireless adapter and click Properties

Go to Power management Tab and uncheck the "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"

Click on OK button, close all windows and restart.

 

Update us how it goes.

Still the same issue... Still says "Cannot connect to network"

  1. Click to open Network and Sharing Center.
  2. Click Set up a new connection or network.
  3. Click Manually connect to a wireless network, and then click Next.
  4. On the Enter information for the wireless network you want to add page, under Security type, select WEP.
  5. Complete the rest of the page, and then click Next.
  6. Click Change connection settings.
  7. Click the Security tab, and then, under Security type, click Shared.
  8. Click OK, and then click Close.
