Re: Yoga 910 - charging cycles on/off every couple seconds

Hello Jjkell

Thank you for using the Lenovo forum

I am sorry to hear that you are having an issue with your device,  A static discharge can attempt to resolve this problem, and below are some instructions on how to perform this:

1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove  the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal

If these steps do not work or you would like more info on this issue you can call your local Lenovo support line. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers

Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

Re: Yoga 910 - charging cycles on/off every couple seconds

Where the charger plugs into the laptop, is that loose, does it wiggle or is it secure?

Update us how it goes.

Re: Yoga 910 - charging cycles on/off every couple seconds

Test the charger with a voltmeter. Also you probably need a new motherboard.

Hence I would recommend contacting Lenovo service centres and applying the normal phone techniques to get it replaced promptly.

Re: Yoga 910 - charging cycles on/off every couple seconds

I have been having the same problem for a couple months now; it keeps flashing/switching on and off for a minute or so and then it stops. The connection port doesn't seem to be the problem since it's not damaged in any way. Still looking for a solution.

Re: Yoga 910 - charging cycles on/off every couple seconds

This is an old thread, but will post here anyways...

I had the same problem as the poster above me and the original poster.

Unfortunately I changed 3 things at once so I don't know which of the 3 fixed the problem, but here they are:

On 5/23/2019 I downloaded the latest Windows 10 update and probably more importantly an Intel driver update dated 11/28/2018 number: 2.2.100.48032.  (I have auto-update set, but for some reason had to manually initiate the driver update).

The third thing (and I don't think it affects it, but am listing it anyways), is I have the laptop in conservation mode, I unplug the laptop when or after shutting down and have always on USB, turned-off.
