Yoga 910 - cracked screen after a month of use

After about a month of usage, I suddenly found the screen cracked! The cracks initiated at the bottom bezel on the right side. As a result, the touch screen flipped out, so I had to disable it.

How can I request a repairment ticket?

Because I cannot submit an email form as I get a "CreateContact error" message after I clicked on the submit button, which became a grayed out enlarged rectangle (I even tried a different browser and different language).

Chat isn't available because it's outside working hours in my country, but I cannot find anywhere what the working hours are!

Re: Yoga 910 - cracked screen after a month of use

@Spidey101: Thank you for the advice. Does it matter for warranty coverage whether the cracking is caused by mishandling (falling etc) or not?

@Biscot...

Re: Yoga 910 - cracked screen after a month of use

My damage was covered under warranty, and I could send it for free.

I will update this thread about the repairment process.

Re: Yoga 910 - cracked screen after a month of use

This seems to be a fairly regular thing.  In just 5 minutes I've come across several users who have said their Yoga screens have mysteriously cracked.  Mine also has done it this week.  Only bought in October and never knowingly knocked, dropped or slammed shut.  Having had a similar experience with double glazing house windows, I know that the slightest blemish will erventuallyt show up as a crack when there are quick changes in temperature from a cold to warm computer.

How do you disable your touchscreen? Same thing happened to me, after using 2 months, I just saw my cracked screen. I think it was because the laptop did not sleep and overheat caused it since it was full before I flipped the screen and after openeing it, the laptop battery was almost drained. I hope this is under warranty.

@@DreaMPoweR My laptop is currently in for repair (but it took a while because something went wrong with sending!), so I don't know exactly how I did it.

But I think you can disable it through Device Manager. Here's an image I found. Hope this helps.disable-HID1-600x434

Re: Yoga 910 - cracked screen after a month of use

After many months, I received my laptop back from repairment. The reason it took so long was because the Lenovo office had sent it to the wrong address Smiley Frustrated. So I had to call often to make sure they send it to the address of the repair agency.

In my case, the cracked screen did not fall under warranty, but fortunately, my travel insurance covered it.
