Yoga 910 - fingerprint doesn't work

Hi all! I got a new Yoga 910 13IKB, but I couldn't register my fingerprint.. when the "configure" button is clicked, windows asks my pin and a screen opens asking to put my finger...but not happens, the sensor doesn't respond. Already tried to reinstall the driver dozens of times, but it doesn't seems to work.

 

Did you face something similar?

As i understand that you are facing issues in Activating the fingerprint reader on your yoga 910 unit.

I have already tried to update the BIOS, update the drive, update windows.

Also tried to delete windows user and create again.

 

In the thread you sent, the fingerprint stopped working after the windows udate. In my case, I've just started using my yoga 910... the fingerprint didn't worked in the first use..

 

After the pin, the screen asks to place my finger, but nothing happens.

 

Is there a way to test if the fingerprint device is reponding??

What can I do?

please go through the below troubleshooting steps 

 

1Go to Device Manager, click menu for show hidden devices.

2.  Make sure there is only one copy of the synaptics fingerprint reader biometrics driver.  If more than one, delete the other (usually greyed out).

3.  Go to Settings, Accounts, Sign-in options.

4.  Remove existing fingerprints.

5.  Remove your PIN.

6.  Re-create your PIN.

7.  Now add your fingerprint.

Hi,

 

I tried this several times.

 

Everytime the windows is turned on, the device has the code 10 (this device cannot start) at device manager and the fingerprint configuration is not available..

 

After reinstalling the device, the windows hello accepts the fingerprint configurations, but nothing happens when I place my finger on the sensor.

 

 

The laptop is brand new...

Thank you for the reply.

 

Usually after the BIOS update and the driver update it should have worked, unfortunately in your case it did not resolve. I would suggest you to visit the nearest service center and they would help you in getting replaced or they will let you know how to go about next.
