Yoga 910 frequent BSOD 0x000001d3

2017-02-28, 11:43 AM

Hi,

After purchasing this notebook in November I have been experiencing regular cases of BSOD. Usually happens once every 3-9 days and more than half of them have been caused by 0x000001d3. I thought the problems would go away after updating my drivers (about a week or so) through Lenovo Companion but I am still getting the same crashes. The crashes happen fairly at random and I am usually only running stuff like Chrome, MS Office applications and Spotify.

I tried using the hardware scanning tool in Lenovo Companion but passed on all the tests. Does this mean that this is a driver issue? The crash dump files can be found in the attachment.

Otherwise I am pretty happy with this computer and hope this can all be fixed with an update.

Hi Shigurd,

Welcome to the community, nice to have you here.

After checking the attached file, the driver of the Qualcom wifi card seems to be causing the BSOD. You can update the driver from device manager, and see if windows update has any other driver available. If there are no updates, try downloading the driver from support.lenovo.com then when you un-install the driver in device manager make sure you delete the driver software then restart the system before re-installing.

If the issue persist, I would recommend that you get in touch with Lenovo Warranty Support. You can do this by clicking on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page under Support.

Cheers,

Hey, I was about to try the solution you mentioned but I can only find "Liteon WLAN driver for Windows 10" for my product. Is this the correct driver if I am using a Qualcomm Atheros Wireless Network Adapter? I tried to updating it in Device Manager but it says that the current version(12.0.0.278 the one that is causing crashes) I am using is the newest one.

Should I attempt to roll back the driver? I have also been experiencing som performance issues when streaming media. Causes the computer to freeze up for a minute or two which sometimes requires a hard reset. Unsure if this is a related issue though.

Would be thankful for any support.

I am experiencing the same.  Where you able to resolve with a driver update and if so which version did you use?
