The cost-effect of a Lenovo computer is so poor if we actually need to do all that in order for it to function properly. I believe it should be mentioned in every reply in this thread.
As for the video driver update - Since mine was working properly for a month or so after the update, and yours for 2 months, I assume that updating the driver helps for a limited time, at least until a newer version of the driver is released. Than repeating the driver update may help again.
I've updated again yesterday and the hangs stopped for now.

I have not experienced the 'hang' issue since several months after installing the Intel driver . However, a few times I have noticed a weird screen flickering. Not sure if that issue is related to changing the driver or not.
