Yoga 910 not able to detect battery - wont charge

I just bought my Yoga 910 two weeks ago and within the first week it would sometimes not turn on unless I plugged it in briefly. Now, it will only turn on when plugged in and can't detect the battery saying that it is at 100% but will power off when unplugged. I still have my year long warranty and would just like to return the product altogether as there are no Lenovo service stations in my area but I'm not even sure how to do this so any help would be welcome!

 

(My fingerprint scanner also stopped working and my start screen has been glitching as well. Not sure if the problems related but I've never dropped or hit the laptop on anything so I'm hoping the product is just defective and can be replaced)

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.


This will seem like it will be a battery issue.

 

I would recommend that you Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.

(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal

 If these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible repair on the unit. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
