I have recently updated my Lenovo 910 to windows version 1703 and after i am not able to log in with my PIN or Fingerprint. I have tried to install the latest BIOS from the site and made sure that the driver is updated but nothing has worked. When i go to the fingerprint scan in my accounts i have to enter my pin.... it works there and then when i try and add my finger it says my finger is already in the system. Also tried deleting the fingerprint and resetting the PIN. The eerror is on the login screen that says it cant validate my fingerprint. I have searched online and havent found anything that has helped. Microsoft support wants me to downgrade my version but this will delete a LOT of things I hope i can find a solution here.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
See if any of the steps are able to help you at all on the following post:
After the driver updates, I woud suggest also reverting back to an older version of Windows before the update, and make sure that the function works corectly
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!

No those steps did not work. I called Lenovo suppport and they ran some trouble shooting tests and then said i needed to reinstall windows deleting ALL my progs and files and revert to the previous update of windows. I know this happened after going to the creator version of windows something with 'hello' is messed up and varified by Lenovo something with the drivers. Now i have to call windows to get this fixed and have my computer wiped this is NOT GOOD! NEXT TIME A WARRING WOULD BE NICE!

No i didnt and i am a pretty pissed after hours of phone calls to Microsift telling me to contact Lenovo and Lenovo telling me to contact Microsoft.
The solution is to wipe your machine so you can go back the old version of windows before the creative version. All programs and most data has to be reloaded.
Thanks Lenovo / Microsoft for not figuring out a solution so 2 of my 3 (biometrics and pin) authentification methods dont work now.
I had to create an additional local account to make sure i dont get locked out. Good Luck and if you find a solution please let me know.
I might add that this update was forced overnight when my computer was on when creative just came out. Still no answers from Lenovo and i have had MULTIPLE help desk ppl remote to my machine . They blame Microsoft. Microsoft says downgrade OS versions.
