Yoga 910 wireless card replacement?

2017-03-11, 5:43 AM

I enabled Hyper-V, and when my VM is running, my computer loses it's wifi connection after a few minutes.  Toggling WiFi On/Off brings it back, but that's obviously not a very good solution.

I saw that the WiFi card is replaceable.  Is there a BIOS block on alternative cards, or am I ok to swap it out with the Intel card?

You will need one with Lenovo firmware.  Intel is one of the suppliers.  This is from the assembly parts list:

           card                                                                     FRU

 WLAN, Intel 8260 ac+BT PCIE NV M2                 SW10A11646

Thanks!  Is there a way to order that part online?  Doing an internet search didn't get me any hits.

Before ordering anything, do you have a warranty?  Perhaps there is a fix (BIOS or driver) or they would swap the card.  Start here:
