Using display setting I tried to connect to a wireless display and had no problems connecting to a Samsung MU6290 TV, both display and sound worked fine.
I had an issue when trying to connect to a different TV set (Sony Bravia) using the Roku premier box.
The screen duplication worked fine, but there was no audio at all. I tried several times with no success.
Eventually I tried to search for audio drivers updates and windows 10 found a new driver that solved the issue.
Here are the driver levels that fixed the audio problem with my Roku connection:

Hi, I have I think the same problem.
I use the duplicate connection from my 920 to go to my miracast android_2408.
Works 100% fine when using this with my androids s7 and s2 screen and sound.
When I use my windows lenovo 920 I got screen but no sound.
Saw 2 possibilities sound digital output says works ok but see () and see a little movement bar in it.
But no sound with this digital outout to my smarttv connected by hdmi android mediaplayer. (also no sound on my 920)
Only on my 920 when using with the normal realtek sound.
Saw the driver from digital output was from 2016, is this the problem?
If so how to put a good driver which gives me sound from my 920 to my mediaplayer android and then from hdmi to my smarttv?
I hoped explaned it ok.
Hope some one can help me,

Just go in control panel, device manager and try to update the driver for the realtek audio, windows found the new version form me.
Or you could go to the Realtek support site and download the latest driver.

Thanks for your information.
I have updated the realtek driver to the latest 16 november, but no result.
Can you tell me for which purpose the digital output is needed? Do not see this anymoreafter update.
Now I am using the sound from my yoga 920 and screen on my tv.
It suits but should be used normal like my android do.

Hereby latest informacion.
I have used an hdmi Ezcast in my smartv and with this it works screen and sound, used by digital output.
Only goes directly by the software from ezcast. using with windows10 it will sometimes work but directly by ezcast 100%
Therefore as long there is not another solution I shall use the software from ezcast.
thanks for all who tried to help.

The digital output is used when the screen is duplicated to the wireless TV.
You only see it after you connect to the wireless screen and digital output is set as default.
With the latest Realtek driver everything works fine om my Samsung MU6290 smart TV.
Both Video and Sound are switched to the Smart TV, I don't need any other product for miracast.
When I disconnect the wireless screen the Digital Output disappears and the laptop speakers return as default.

Here is the digital output showing on the playback devices.
The same connection works fine with my ROKU device connected to my SONY Bravia TV. Both Video and Sound are switched. The sound goes through my AV sound system which is connected with HDMI to ROKU and the TV.
