My speakers are not muted, are set to default playback device, drivers are up to date, and in mixer the sound bars show sounds playing from them. Yet there is no sound.
I have sent the device away to Lenovo. It came back with sound working after what appeared to be full factory reset. Standard windows updates were required, and I logged into my microsoft account. Beyond this nothing significant has happened. However, the issue is now back.
What is going on? Any ideas?

A number of users have a similar issue. My 920 hasn't exhibited the issue. That said, I don't have much of anything installed on it.
