Try it first you can return the TB device. If you want to understand I posted in painstaiking detail at https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comments/7c93zi/any_point_in_getting_a_thunderbolt_display_to_use/...

Just one Dell 34 in display. With that said, my 920 seemed to have died today. Wont turn on, no charge indicator when plugged in.
I was using it on my lap, froze up, hit the power button to restart and thats it. UGH, lasted all of a week for me.

I returned the 920 and Lenovo TB3 dock and bought
and the HP TB3 90W dock. Does a superb job running 2 external 4K monitiors at 60Hz along with the laptop 4k display. HP's site doesnt recommend this dock and there is one oddity, the power light on the dock doesnt light up but it noticed the dock and monitors as soon as i plugged it in. USB ports all work too. I also use Ethernet here. Machine specs are a bit better than the yoga 920. Really love Lenovo so it was a painful choice to switch to HP.

I found another portable dock that works great and includes ethernet.
I also verified the Dell portable USB-C dock works as well.

I just bought a 920 and TB3 dock and am having the same issue.
Not sure what jetshine did differently to make that work.
I have one monitor working but all other ports, including ethernet, doesn't work.
I also applied the latest firmware for the dock.
Have you figured something out?

Ok, problem solved. Just download the Intel Thunderbolt Software and that's it.
