I'm having a similar issue.
My charging port seems like it might be messing up.
When I plug my charger in, it doesn't feel like it's plugging in all the way. It feels loose/wiggly and it's not in all the way.
My cord stopped charging and so I bought a new cord, now it's charging, but sometimes it needs adjusting to charge. (as if it only works in some positions).
I'm not sure how to solve this issue without trying to replace the part within the computer, but I'm not sure I trust myself. I haven't even had this laptop 2 years.
You shouldn't have to replace a laptop every 2 years...make better, long lasting products?
And my warranty is out by about a year.
I love my laptop and I don't want to have to get a new one. I cannot afford a new one.

I had the same problem and ended up loosing all battery power. Now I am using my Yoga 920 as an expensive paper weight. I had very valuable files on my hard drive, which as now effectively lost.
My original post here was October 2018, and I did get one suggestion (see Solution post) that worked temporarily, but evenutally even that did not allow the machine to hold its battery power. The power code is useless, as it does not by pass the batter and power the machine.
I learned a valuable an expensive lesson and will steer clear of any Lenovo device in the future. If anyone has any suggestion to solve my problem, OR is looking for a cheap paperweight, please contact me.

Do other USB-C peripherals plug in and function properly?
