Yoga Pro 3: Battery issue

Hello Smiley Happy

my 4 months old Yoga Pro 3 just started to have some battery issues:

The battery status says 0% even though I have loaded it for 3 hours. No changes. If i unplug the loading cable, it crashes. (Orange light lights up, saying no battery life here)

I restarted it, updated it to the latest status and also tried the 30 sec method, suggested in this topic (Klick me).

Can someone please advise what to do? Is this a hardware or software issue?

Thank you so much!! Smiley Wink

Danke Smiley Wink

(German answer is also possible)

Re: Yoga Pro 3: Battery issue

I would lean toward a hardware issue on this one. From the symptoms it's showing, it sounds like a faulty battery or battery management circuit.

Disconnecting the battery and holding the power button down for 30s with the device unplugged may help, but that involves opening the machine which would void any warranty you have.

Another thing to check is the device manager to see if there are any devices with warnings. if there are, they will show up with an exclamation point.

Re: Yoga Pro 3: Battery issue

Thank you for your response and the help.

Funny thing is, 5 hours after this post I got the latest Win10 Update (with the design changes.) Annnd suddenly everything works fine again.

But you are right, opening the Yoga is no option.
Thanks again!
