Yoga S730 -- Missing keystrokes when pressing "Delete" too many times

2020-02-24, 5:48 AM

Hi there, I have a new Yoga S730-13IML with the Comet Lake i5-10210U processor.

I am experiencing a strange issue with the Delete key on the keyboard.

When I press "Delete' just once, it works fine. When I press "Delete" continuously but slowly, it also works fine. But if I rapidly press "Delete", e.g. press two times in quick succession, then about 25% of the time I end up with a missing keystroke, e.g. only one character is deleted instead of two. It seems like the keyboard "hangs" up.

Initially I thought it was an issue only with my unit, so I went back to the store and tested their demo set and was able to reproduce the issue.

I have turned off FilterKeys, StickyKeys etc, reflashed the BIOS, installed all updates. I suspect it may be a firmware bug?

Is Lenovo able to look into this issue?
