Yoga Slim 7 not waking up from modern standby

2021-09-04, 7:03 AM

I'm owner of a Yoga Slim 7 13ACN5

Product Number: 82CY000TGE

Running on Windows 11: 1000.22000.176.0

Graphics Driver Version: 21.8.2

If i go to standby and wait for some minutes the system won't wake up again. I have to press the power button for 10s-15s and do a hard reset. If i wake up the system fast after entering modern standby then it wakes up. So it probably has to do something with different states or the drivers. There are no driver problems in device manager. In windows system events log there were no errors before the unexpected/unproper start of the system. The last entry (from Kernel Power) says:

Die Systemsitzung ist von 22 auf 23 übergegangen.

Grund: 46

So this means that the system has entered some power saving state...but no errors

I already tried the following:

  • do a driver update with Lenovo PC Support site
  • do  a BIOS update
  • updated drivers with latest versions manually
  • checked power saving settings in Windows
  • disabled modern standby by registry hack in hope to use classic S3 (but S3 seems not to be supported anymore so i reenabled modern standby)
  • Installed/Reinstalled Lenovo Energy Managament
  • check windows events in log
  • tried to press STRG + ALT + WIN + B to restart graphic driver, also tried other key combinations...

For me it looks like an probably an incompatibility of hardware + driver + windows 11... but i have no clue to fix that. Any ideas?

Thank you!

Windows 11 is scheduled to be released to the public on October 5.

In the meantime for the copy that you are using please report your issue to Microsoft. Press Windows + F to open the Feedback Hub.  They need to confirm the Windows 11 driver incompatibility problem with Lenovo. Microsoft will need diagnostics from your computer.
