Yoga YOGA 530-14IKB part of touch screen not working

2019-05-19, 7:43 AM

Hi,

I bought my Lenovo YOGA 530-14IKB 3 months back, it worked fine, but I started to notice that bottom right quarter of the touch screen is not working, It is working when screen is at exact 90 degrees in laptop mode but when I tilt the screen back by some 10-15 degrees the bottom right part of the touch screen is not working. The lenovo pen is working fine on this section of screen.

Facing same issue in tablet mode also.

I don't think this is software issue, maybe the connection at the  hinge got screwed up. The laptop is still under warranty.

All the Drivers are up to date.

Can I get a replacement if I go to service center or is this a software issue which can be solved ?

Hi Teja_a!

Welcome to the Lenovo forum discussion.

Based on the video that you have sent, this is a clear hardware problem with the laptop. We recommend bringing the laptop to the service provider https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht118678?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 (filter by country) and inquire for a complete diagnosis/repair service.

In addition, as per the Lenovo limited warranty https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/l505-0010-02_en_update.pdf?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6, Lenovo offer repair service for all under warranty unit.

Regards,
