Hi,

the Ac Adapter have 5.2 V too, it is possible charge the YOGA BOOK YB1-X91L X5-Z8550 with a power bank? or must only 12 V?

Re: Yoga book YB1-X91L X5-Z8550 - charge via powerbank?

Hello Cristianz

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

I have no access to this unit myself so am unable to really test it, but I highly doubt it has the right connections for it to be able to charge from a power bank. Then again this would really depend on the type of power bank.

I would imagine it would need something along the lines of this.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

I don`t think it will work, I mean you can try it, but I doubt that it will work, if the hardware manual says it needs 12V to charge, then it will need 12V to charge I believe.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Just try, the charge was 86% then I have connected the power bank and the icon say "on charge". After 30 minutes the battery was 90% Smiley Very Happy

Very very good!

Then this notebook works with 5v charge too, this is awesome news Smiley Happy

Awesome, thanks for testing this theory, nice to know this is possible to do so, it makes the yoga book even more reliable during long travels.

Yes, as an emergency charge is very useful. In my tests I had not switched off the yoga book, it was powered on.

Bye
