display drivers

2021-04-07, 12:17 PM

I have a Yoga C630-13Q50 Laptop (Lenovo) - Type 81JL and suddenly the display doesn't fill the screen. I tried to uninstall, update and everything I could to fix this. Lenovo's Bridge could not find any issues so I deleted the Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPL display adapter and the driver in hopes that the Lenovo bridge would detect the adapter and reinstall the driver. Didn't work. I cannot find any way to download the driver. It's name is qcdx11x86wm850.dll I think. Where can I get this driver and will this fix the issue. (note the monitor is listed as a generic pnp monitor) not sure if there was a defined named monitor with drivers.

Welcome to the Community Forums @ JP2112!

Thanks for posting here!

Please try searching for any available driver updates on your Yoga C630 using the Lenovo Vantage app and download/install it.

You may also follow the steps below that is found on this link:

  1. Open Device Manager from Start menu or search in Start menu.
  2. Expand the respective component driver to be checked, right-click the driver, then select Properties.
  3. Go to the Driver tab and the Driver Version is shown.

Let us know if this'll work.

Thanks,

Adriel_Lenovo

Thanks Adriel_Lenovo, No that didn't work at all even in safe mode. It is confident that the driver installed is the best one, and when I removed the adapter with the box checked the driver is gone. I thought this would force the Lenovo driver scan to reinstall it but it didn't. So now I'm stuck with a windows generic driver. The screen still does not fill the monitor. In trouble shooting that the first thing is to be sure the driver is good. Now I need the driver so I can reinstall the adapter.
