keyboard not responding after suspend [Yoga 910-13IKB]

2020-01-26, 10:50 AM

I have a Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB with Windows 10 installed. Every time it resumes from being suspended, the keyboard not work. The touchpad is responsive but the keyboard (physical keyboard) still remains non-responsive.

I'd appreciate any help.

Thank you

Hi ,

Welcome to the Community,

In regards to the issue you can try updating Windows and all the drivers using the Lenovo Vantage apps first. You can download the Lenovo Vantage app thru the Microsoft store. I would recommend that first as it automates the process of looking for dependencies and updating what's needed on the computer to work properly.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes,

Jeremy

Thanks for the advice.
I have already tried with Lenovo Vantage.

I have updated everything.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard.
Searched for new drivers.

I also turned off energy saving.
...The keyboard doesn't work  after suspend :(

Hi ,

I see... But after reinstalling the driver does it work? If it work's then possibly it's the oroginal driver that we can work with and stop it from getting updated by windows.

Regards,

Jeremy

It works at first, but then it comes up again after a while. Same problem with the CANC key, it does not work even during use when the keyboard was not working after the suspension.

Hi ,

If it works with the Original Driver then it means it's the succeding driver that Windows Installs that causes the issue.

Follow the steps below to stop Automatic Driver Updates on Windows 10.

  1. Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. Make your way to System and Security.
  3. Click System.
  4. Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar.
  5. Select the Hardware tab.
  6. Press the Device Installation Settings button.
  7. Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes,

Jeremy
