Hi hmaiszem,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Keeping operational battery use within 20% to 80% would be ideal for battery performance.

Using the battery indicator LED (slow blinking amber) at 20 % to charge until it goes white (80%).

Here are also some guidelines about battery care that you can follow and similar reference here for further info.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Hi hmaiszem,

Conservation mode is better enabled when you are outside working on battery alone.

If you have opportunities to keep it plugged in, then it would help prolong the battery life.

The chemicals on the battery are not used and power would be on direct ac (provided that you have a cooled environment).

Overcharging of battery is also prevented by the battery firmware buffering at 95%.

Regards

My Lenovo Yoga 920 overheats when completely shut down and plugged in for charging. THis does not seem normal. The laptop also overheats when charging when powered on. I am worried that I will dammage the laptop.
