Welcome to the Community Forums.
You can take the opportunity to back up your files and then go to the device manager and uninstall the battery driver. Start using the machine without the charger until it the power indicator (page 27) turns amber ( between 1% and 20% charge). Shut down.
Check the charger for functionality (page 21) making sure that the ac charger itself is ok specially if you do not have a spare to test with. Have it connected until the charging status led (item 2 page 27) turns from solid amber to solid white. The solid white is where we expect that the battery has more than 91% charge.
Update us how it goes.

Power draining is usually first step to take on most electronic gadget as it can reset counters and give the machine a fresh start as shown in the manual (page 21). Procided steps above would be the next step you can perform in such occasion.
Overcharging is not expected as mentioned on page 22 " Battery charging does not start until the Power Meter shows that less than 95% of the total power remains; under this condition the battery pack can charge to 100% of its capacity. This protects the battery pack from being overcharged or from having a shortened life".
It may just be a misreading or electrical statis for the state of charging.
Anyways, you have the steps needed in case such may happen again and you have the Community along with in-warranty service to cover your needs in the future.
