lines shadowing during internet browsing

Not sure how to explain this but I'm experiencing a strange effect when browsing with Firefox on my Yoga 910. When navigating a website and then dragging a smaller window within that website it is leaving a trail of lines behind like a shadowing effect. The lines remain and can be "erased" by dragging over the top again. Very odd.

Does anyone have insight on this bug?

Thank you for your time.

Re: lines shadowing during internet browsing

Hi  LenovoCustomer1,

I would just like to ask is this only happening with Firefox? If so, then try re-installing Firefox, if not please try re-installing the video card driver of the laptop. Your description of the issue looks like a bad video rendering. If the issue persist with all apps and re-installing the video card driver then get in touch with Lenovo Warranty Support. Just click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page under Support.

Cheers,

Re: lines shadowing during internet browsing

Thank you for the response. I'll see if it's only a Firefox issue as I've not used much else on the new laptop. If so Ill move forward with your suggestions. Thanks again.

Re: lines shadowing during internet browsing

In addition to Jamdy, if Firefox is misbehaving, there's a chance its Hardware Acceleration feature is causing problems.

To turn it off, just head to Firefox's Options and go to Advanced. Uncheck "Use Hardware Acceleration When Available."

Update us how it goes.

Re: lines shadowing during internet browsing

Turning off all the hardware acceleration options in Firefox and in Flash (in site) seems to have solved the issue. Didn't need to re-install Firefox. Thanks for the help.
