[solved] Middle click? Yoga Pro 2

2013-11-03, 2:11 AM

Does anyone know how I can emulate/use middle mouse?

On my last laptop I was able to click with three fingers on the touchpad.

Is there a way to get this same functionality on the Yoga Pro 2?

Solution:

The following posts' suggestion to download the newest version of the driver from Synaptics gave me back triple click functionality.

An additional registry edit gave me back two finger tap (right click) - because it broke when I disabled edge swipes.

Open regedit by using WinKey + R, type regedit, and hit enter.

Navigate to:

HKEY_USERS\<SID name for your current user>\Software\Synaptics\SynTP\TouchPadPS2

For 2 finger tap (right click), right click 2FingerTapAction, click Modify, and change the value to 2.

With three fingers on the touchpad, click (not just tap, but actually push down the touchpad).

If that doesn't work, you need to first uninstall the default Lenovo drivers and get updated ones directly from Synaptics:

Also, if you use it for web browsing, CTRL-clicking does the same thing as a middle click.

Is there a way to enable 3finger TAPPING? Clicking works, but 3 Finger Tapping would be nice.

This Regedit didnt work for me: http://iampaulh.blogspot.ca/2012/06/adding-middle-click-to-synaptics-touch.html
