Re: yoga 13 freezes 1-2 times a day

hi jeanclaude,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

Your problem might be similar to the first question on this thread.

Can you try to disable this service called "ymc" or Yoga Mode Control by doing the following:

1. Open control panel and type "Local services" in search box

2. Click on Local services, scroll down to ymc, right click > properties > stop > startup type - disabled.

3. Restart laptop and the keyboard and mouse disabling problem should be fixed.

Credits goes to Hasan10.

Let me know your findings

Cheers

Re: yoga 13 freezes 1-2 times a day

I have exact same issue with Yoga 13 freezing and completely locking up 3 times per day.  Same error in event log with each freez.  Any guidance on this?

Re: yoga 13 freezes 1-2 times a day

I had the exact same freezing problem. It seems to be gone after installing all Windows updates.

That required quite a few restarts (about 5). Can anyone confirm it solves the problem?

Re: yoga 13 freezes 1-2 times a day

I've had a similar problem with my Yoga 13 freezing several times a day sometimes. It seems the freezing issue mostly happened while rotating the screen or while attempting to multitask with a split screen.

Anyhow, just as bombom5 said, I also did all updates and I haven't had a single freeze-up in 5 days now. Could be a coincidence, but so far so good.

Just to be clear: you need to go to the Update Center in the Control Panel and manually search for updates and install every update INCLUDING THE OPTIONAL UPDATES. Then you need to restart your computer and look for updates again. Repeat this until no more updates are found. In my case, I think the update that did the trick was an update for the graphics adapter and it was an optional update.

Hope this helps!
