Nope that did not help me!!! Then I called the call center and unfortunately they made me do a recovery. We are in 2013 and still none of these companies could not build a stable system like Apple did!

It looks like my (and MrPhilicorda's) solution will not work -- my Yoga just froze again after a week working properly
I have tried doing recovery multiple times and it never helped.
It is incredible that so expensive computer fails to provide basic stability.
My main concern is to determine whether it is HW or SW so I could know whether to return it immediatelly...

I installed Windows 8.1 today. Still crashes. Additionally there is "The system watchdog timer was triggered." event from HAL registered when system crashes. DptfPolicyLpmServiceHelper failure events are also present as it was with Windows 8.

Unfortunately I am experiencing the same problem, it can happen twice a day or twice a week. Even after a full recovery and an upgrade to Windows 8.1 my laptop keeps freezing.

elal1234, did it freeze for you yet? Mine froze just now It was working fine until now.
Although I have DTPF disabled, there were DPTF related error event logs around the time it froze.
Also there was an error from HAL (about watchdog timer).

Today I got the first freeze since my last post, and I also experienced the same errors as you have described. Unlike the previous freezes, this time it happened when I woke up my compafter after several hours of sleep - It froze the second it woke up and after a few seconds it turned off. I am very frustrated with it, and I don't know what else can I do.
