Hey folks, I've been trying some things with Lenovo back and forth. I'm going to ship them my unit tomorrow for a look and I can post the results here after I hear back.

I can tell you that I've seen issues with wireless N routers with single antennas (like the Aerohive BR100) and even those with 2 (like the Netgear WNDR3700).

I also see severe issues when using wireless N set to 20Mhz on the router. The signal severely degrades more quickly as you get further from the router. If you use 40Mhz on the router, you might have better luck.

I'll keep you guys posted!

please do.

I heard from support today. They loaded up my Yoga with a fresh build and the most recent drivers and were able to get pretty far away from the Netgear WNDR3700 router before dropping.

Their next steps are to update other drivers and run the Windows updates and retest.

Thanks!

Hi everybody,

Another one with problems. I´m suffering multiple disconnections using Citrix meanwhile my workmates with their laptops have no problems at the same distance from the router. Is there really a solution or should I return the Yoga? Solve this is a must especially when the Yoga doesn´t have Ethernet connection.

After several tests I´m thinking that probably the problem is not in the WIFI. Yo can improve the signal using an external device but you will continue suffering dynamic disconnections. I tried also with a USB-Ethernet adaptor and I had the same problem but maybe with less frequency.

Could be the motherboard? Windows update package?

It´s almost imposible to connect to any Corporate network which require fluent traffic of data.

I am sitting downstairs below my router and it routinely takes minutes to load web pages on my yoga 13, while I have my cell phone beside me on wifi and I am surfing the web no problem on it...this is absolutely ridiculous for an "ultrabook"

LENOVO FIX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to chime in.  I just bought a Yoga 13 at Best Buy (January 18,2013).  Today is the first day of real use and it has disconnected twice.

We have numerous other products on WiFi ranging from Apple Ipod touch to hacked HP Touchpads running android.  Everything in the house connects to WiFi just fine; but the Yoga has this problem where suddenly it will not have internet access.  One time I simply rebooted to solve and the second time my wife started a troubleshooter and the system (Windows 8?) was able to solve the problem indicating a problem; "Wi-Fi doesn't have a valid IP configuration".

I hope a solution comes through, else I'll have to go through the trouble of returning it.
