Iomega Home Storage Manager

Hi There

Please, forgive me if this is not the right place to past this, this is my first post.

I have been having problems getting my Home Storage Manager to work with my GreenPacket Router (IP  I have until now only been able to access it when the CAT cable is drectly plugged into my laptop.

I had found a solution, i managed to change the setting directly, they were as follows:

IP Address:

Subnet Mask:

DNS Server1:

DN Server 2:

I plugeed it into the router, reset my laptop and all was ok.

I turned off the Home Storage Unit and back on again, reset my laptop, and I was unable to see the device.  So i have no plugged it back into the laptop, and still after 30 mins, i am unabel to see the device.  The software keep searching, and it finds a name, but does not load it.

This has ALL my itunes and Pictures on, so I do want to loose this.

Please can someone hlep?

The normal settings when directly in the laptop are:

IP Address:

Subnet Mask:

DNS Server 1: (I think an old Router IP)

Re: Iomega Home Storage Manager

Yout typically do not need the management software at all.
You may hook up the NAS normally to your network ( add network drive) and use standard explorer functions.
