IX2-DL Drive Failure

2020-09-02, 21:44 PM

I tried accessing my drive today, like any other day, and i get a message that says "your device is in an inconsistent state because the original drives were replaced. You can either...."

I haven't replaced the drives.  I can't access any of my data.  How can i get the data back?

There are 2 drives and was setup to do a mirror.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd start by simply pulling the drive trays, and reinserting them, in case there's a bad contact somewhere.  If it's a mirror then both drives should hold the original data, and there's a good chance you'll be able to recover it, but you'll need more detailed instructions for that than I can give.

Do you have a spare drive to replace a failed one?  If not then start looking for one, which Lenovo will say should be identical to the current pair, down to same firmware.
