Lenovo ix2 DL wont set up with amazon S3

So I set up my aco**bleep** with Amazon I created a bucket. I then got my Keys. From there I went in to me Lenovo admin and entered all the info. once I hit save it looked liked it was trying to connect. Then all fields went blank and it just says Idle in the upper right corner. Im i missing something?

After you connected the share to the amazon app, have you tried to add new files to the share to test if files are able to upload?  

 

Are you getting any errors for amazon s3 in the event log when files are added to the connected share?

 

Also if you have not already done so please update the unit's firmware to the latest version here

For some reason it just uploaded one file that was empty. I did get this email from my lenovo 

"

Unable to upload 'Fonts/FontCollections/Battlefield.collection' to Amazon S3. Confirm that your device is connected to a router which connects to the internet."

 

The router is connected to the internet 

 

I have no idea where to find the event logs: I did find events in the bucket but I cant sent it up because I have no idea what this is "SNS topic ARN"

 

I did update the firmware.

 

Where can I find out if my lenovo is connected to S3. When I open the app in lenovo the boxes are blank and just says idle

I if the unit is uploading files from the share to your Amazon account, then it is connected.  

 

The even log is located in the All features > event log page. 

 

For this issue I recommend that you contact support to create an incident.  We would usually look at a dump report from the unit to see what the amazon s3 specific logs indicate.

 

If needed there is a amazon hotfix that may help in your situation as well.

So in the logs on the Lenovo I get this error "Unable to upload 'Fonts/Fonts/AnnualThinBold' to Amazon S3."  but it does not tell me why it was unable to upoad the files.

 

What is a hotfix

Have you checked if the foldsrs/files that are listed in the event log error(s) are actually being uploaded or not?  You can check this by logging into the Amazon S3 web interface (not the NAS web interface)

 

The hot fix is like a firmware patch, but specifically for the Amazon application.  If there are issues with the feature, we would try to determine if the files are actually being uploaded or not and then have you apply the hotfix via the support.

i'm a little tired of hearing "update your firm ware" i've had my device for 2 year it gets updated everymonth and this was SUPPOSE to work from the first day the product was released....

" Amazon S3 has been enabled.

 

 

three times from the 3 attempted connections/uploads
