Lifeline-SDK request

2020-05-13, 22:22 PM

Hi,

I've sort of "discovered" the Lenovo StorCenter recently (this year) and although they are now declared as "End of Service Life", I was wondering if it was possible to get access to the Lifeline SDK that would allow me to code for the second-hand devices I was able to get recently:

- ix4-200d

- ix4-300d

- px4-400d

A part from the LifeLine version 4.1.414 Open Source Code found here, I don't have anything else and have no instructions on how to set get started either.

Any help in that regard would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, as far as I know we do not have any official resources to share that would give you access to the old LifeLine SDKs.

Lifeline-SDK request

I've done some searching for info on the PX4, and found one person at least who said it was easy to change the boot order to a USB and install a version of Linux. Might be a direction to consider as apparently EMC is now Dell.

Hi Mike6f,

I'll check into that.

I was mostly interested in creating and adding an application that would start on boot on the NASes but who knows, maybe that direction will help me in that regard.

From what I've seen in the forums here, it's been requested regularly.  I find it just a shame that they don't keep these packages available anymore yet we can still find old files and packages for other stuff that are decades old :-/
