PX6-300d how to replace ALL HDDs with higher capacity

2018-07-11, 18:08 PM

I couldn't find it in the latest 4.1 manual, but is there an official procedure for replacing all 6 3TB HDDs in a PX6-300d (one of which has failed is no  longer seen so it's physically removed), with 6 brand new certified onthe compatibility list 4TB higher capacity drives?

Not sure whether it's as simple as removing all existing drives (with power on or off?) and inserting all new drives with power off then a power-on and a configuration procedure to do (like setup general defaults and create RAID array)?

So has anyone successfully replaced all their PX6-300d or PX4-400d drives with higher capacity ones, so I know what procedure was followed to do this?

Thanks,

Dino
