Wireless configuration under Linux - ThinkPad A31, R40, T23, T30, T40

The ThinkPad T30, some models of the T23, A31, and R40 systems are shipped with an ThinkPad High Rate Wireless LAN mini PCI adapter. The Linux command /sbin/lspci reports it as:

Network controller: Harris Semiconductor Prism 2.5 Wavelan chipset

Under Red Hat Linux 8.0 and 9.0, as well as SuSE Linux 8.1 and 8.2, use the "orinoco_pci" driver, which is usually automatically configured for you. Otherwise you can get a driver from the following website
