I'm the proud owner of Ideabad 720s-13IKB (Type 81BV).
The hardware spec is the same as described here.
The lasted version 6MCN27WW of BIOS is installed.
I tied to use my laptop with different clones of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and with Antergos OS. Everything works nice except suspend mode.
After the command
laptop goes into suspend mode (screen becomes dark, power button blinks slowly) same way as in windows10.
But unlike windows10 laptop fails to wake up. No reaction to keystrokes or touch pad. The only available option is to force laptop shutdown by pressing power button for 5sec.
After this Ubuntu Linux generates crash file. I put it here

I had same issue on a same type laptop.(Ideapad 720s-13lkb, dualboot windows10 &ubuntu 18.04)
I did many trials and was able to fix this issue by changing the kernel version to 4.19.4 .
When I change kernel, I used UKUU.
I hope this help you.

I'm sorry for a long response delay, I was quite busy.
Right now I'm using Xubuntu 18.10 with kernel 4.18.0-13. It also works fine for me. Additionally I added acpi_osi=! acpi_osi='Windows 2015' to Kernel boot params and installed pm-untils and powertop util. Suspend mode works fine now. Lid close/open events are handled correctly, wakeup from key press works too.
Porbably the ultimate solution will be the compile of custom DSDT table for this laptop but it is not an easy task for me...
