I just got a new L380 and installed Linux (Arch).
Unfortunately the BIOS Option to swap the FN/CTRL Key is not working.
I´ve seen, that there is a new BIOS-Firmware (still on 1.07) available, but the description "just" mentions a security update, no bug fixes.
Anyone else got the same problem and maybe a solution?
As the FN Key is kinda special, it is not possible to remap the key using keymodmap under Linux.

Short update: I updated the BIOS to 1.09 and the problem remains. I also found out that the FN key is not managed by the operating system (which is why I can´t swap them using xmodmap under Linux) so I doubt it is a Linux problem at all.
Can anyone confirm that it works under Windows?

I thought about switching my Fn key too when I first bought my thinkpad but now after a couple months of having it I dont even think about it anymore. Although when I use my old dell laptop Im always hitting the Fn key when im trying to enter a ctrl+ whatever command lol

I opened a ticket and Lenovo said they put it on their list, but cannot garantee that it will be implemented soon. The swap option is primarily designed for windows, so it might not work on all linux variations.
