I would like to know if this laptop is compatible with Ubuntu, and if yes what version and what steps are required, because I've read that the installation of this OS could bug the UEFI/BIOS and make it not save the changes. Is it real? And should I update the bios before installing linux?
Thanks in advance to all!

I installed Kubuntu 18.04 on our 330S without any issues. The wifi driver kept on returning a 6Mbit/s and there were/are error messages in dmesg related to the wifi adapter but after quite some back and forth this turned out to be a false flag.
If the OS reports back 6MBit/s no matter what, do an actual test. In our case actual throughput was significanlty higher.

Thanks @Toz for confirmation!!
I will try kubuntu..
Did you try any other gnome flavor?
Did you require any specific bios setting/updates to Bios?

Yes it's just kernal version and driver issue, I have made a step by step guide to solve all the known problems related to ideapad 330 ubuntu.
No need to compile kernal at all, new versions of kernal already have all the drivers. Check my link
