Hello all!
When I run linux (any distro) on my netbook lenovo s10-3c -- keyboard doesn't work!
keyboard works perfectly in bios, in grub (or lilo), in windows, but not in linux.
I try linux kernel 2.6.35, 2.6.36, 2.6.37-rc2 -- no way. keyboard doesn't work
I upgrade BIOS up to 3CCN13WW. keyboard doesn't work
All keys are disabled, numlock, capslock... It's seems like keyboard haven't power.
with Google I find topic:
http://s10lenovo.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=4482
where solution is add to kernel opts 'noapic acpi=off' -- Viola! keyboard work. But battery state, powersaving, powerbutton and other usefull things doesn't work
So this is not a workaround...
The question is "how I can launch linux with apic and acpi on lenovo s10-3c?"
where I can find answer? In linux kernel team or maybe in lenovo developers team? Maybe exist some error in bios?..
I don't know. Just post something if you can help me...
don't read this topic. go to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/677633

Thanks for reply!
I already read this thread, but it's very old and describe another problem.
touchpad, mouse, external keyboard works fine in all cases.
keyboard doesn’t freeze (as describes) -- keyboard doesn't work -)

it's sound like a joke -)
nothing about s10-3c on http://www.jolicloud.com/product/compatibility
(s10-3 and s10-3c are different?)
"Jolicloud is built on top of Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) Netbook Edition" (from wikipedia)
So 99% that Jolicloud doesn't work on s10-3c like ubuntu 10.10 that I already try.
I'll it try tonight!

A compatibility list is provided at the own discretion of the Linux vendor as most of them are free they have no compulsion of providing a compatibility list does that make sense?

I know that vendors (asus, lenovo, etc) makes very different hardware with quite different names. One letter can mean very much
Maybe I don't understand your previous post, sorry.
My English is not very good-(
Anyway I'll try Jolicloud
