Re: Android 2.3 (gingerbread)

@nowinaminute

There is no option to choose picture source if you're talking about profile picture. We use Google Contacts now and their picture choosing algorithm. Everything is probably resyncing so I'm sure you'll see the images once the phone has finished.

Re: Android 2.3 (gingerbread)

Right ok, thing is a lot of my contacts are facebook only ie if I deleted my facebook account they would disappear so I'm not sure what to think or expect. All of the contact pictures I had before the update, even for non facebook exclusive contacts came from facebook so if the phone will no longer retrieve them from facebook I don't see how they would come back...

The pictures are missing everywhere, social widget, contacts, text messages, log etc

Re: Android 2.3 (gingerbread)

@kethvin

Yes choose UK. However as long as you download the MSU tool and connect the phone it will check for updates no matter where you are located in order to help you upgrade/update.

Re: Android 2.3 (gingerbread)

Yes, you could select u.k.. MSU will detect your phone's region automatically and download the matching update.

Re: Android 2.3 (gingerbread)

@nowinaminute

Be patient . You can either connect to WiFi and let it run it's course or delete the Facebook account and re-associate it.  Either way they should be downloaded again. The folder they were cached in before the upgrade was likely wiped in the upgrade process and everything has to index again.

Re: Android 2.3 (gingerbread)

I'll give it a chance I guess! but it has been updated since this time yesterday and on wifi frequently, but there could be a bit of a backlog I guess
